This is well done, up to date, and the author covers all the issues of EMPs. The only thing missing is a better discussion of the sun and the earth as to catastrophic issues. But, he does deal with solar EMPs. There is also some good advice on preparedness without panic.Product details

We really liked reading this book. It kept our interest and provoked a lot of thought. A really good read.
Just like his other books, I couldn't stop reading until it was done. Had to order his other books
For anyone interested in the potential devastation caused by an EMP, this is a must have book. Being the subject of much speculation by news media, the public, and fiction authors, EMP is a serious threat, and knowing what it's really about couldn't be more important for those that prepare for such events. The Preparing for Tomorrow series is shaping up to be the seminal work in understanding the need for preparedness. Packed with facts, not speculation, rumor, or hearsay, the in depth research in this book provides the perfect backdrop for understanding one of our greatest threats.
I really enjoy these books and I'm learning things I should know if there is ever a disaster. You get caught up in the characters and story line and drawn in right away. I like the series but wish they were longer, your left hanging, (brilliant on the authors part), until you buy the next book. Well worth the money!!!
I found it informative, but there is some direct cut and paste from his other books. The information was useful, but if I have read a chapter in one book, I don't want it popping up in other books. I'd recommend the book, but the cut and paste made it feel phoned in when I got to it.
While there are a lot of books out there about what could happen if we as a country were to experience an EMP, Bobby Akart's book goes deeper and teaches us not only what might happen, but how best to prepare ourselves to endure such an event. All of Mr Akart's books in the Prepping for Tomorrow series are like this...they teach necessary information in such a way that it is a good read that will stick with you and be remembered.
The book contains an explanation of what an electromagnetic pulse is; How it can be used as a weapon; How wide surprising and wild spread its effects are.
It also explains
1. Where we stand with other nations.
2. Aftermath of an attack.
3. Shielding.
4. Preparation for an attack.
